 Giving things away is a great thing but if you need money, look around your home and see what you can get rid of and sell. Consignments, eBay, craigslist, and all sorts of options allow you to put much more unique products on the market for a better price than a garage sale. Garage sales allow you to sell a wider variety, more items, and generally a lower individual value in a much easier and efficient process.

If you are in need of money, look around your home to find some higher value things you don't love as much as you used to. Research these items and only sell them if you can get a good value for them. Most of us have way more possessions than we could ever appreciate.
