Save on water for your lawn

Water your lawn when it's cool enough to not evaporate. Early in the morning or in the evening after the sun has rested for the day are the best times to water your lawn. Many areas also put surcharges on water during the heat of the day to prevent overuse of water when it's more precious. Use water sparingly.

Invest in drought tolerant grass if you are just planting your lawn. Consider new hybrid grasses that are low maintenance and do not require a lot of watering throughout their lives.
