Plant herbs

Nothing is more motivating to a culinary hobbyist or professional than walking past beautiful and fragrant herbs. Plant some basil, rosemary, thyme, and chives. These all grow fairly easily and are wonderful to put in many dishes. By growing them yourself, you only pay once for all that it produces.
