Plant a fruit tree

Fruit trees are amazing for your budget - assuming they produce and you like the fruit. This is really a long term plan. The first few years you may not get much but as the tree gets bigger you will get more. There are also small patio varieties that you can purchase that generally begin producing the year you get them. If you do have a tree that produces abundantly, consider freezing what you will use throughout the year and selling or giving away the extra.
