Eat less meat throughout the day.

 Many Americans eat 1-2 pounds of meat per day. Dieticians recommend 6-12 ounces of protein sources throughout the entire day, 2-3 ounces per meal generally. Cutting back on the meat purchased on grocery day can save you bundles. Be sure that this would not cause major whining or refusal to eat from members of your family. That would definitely have a price, too.
