Most communities have a lot of
entertainment if you just know where to look. For kids the public libraries
often have story hours, summer reading programs, and special events. Libraries also
have adult events such as book signings, special discussions, and even genealogy
resources. Other places to look for community events include the local newspaper,
the local leisure magazine, the parks and recreation department newsletter or
blog, the public schools, the city or county website, or the city next door's website!
If you are in an organized community you may also be able to find a community
group or your local home owners association (HOA) may have activities as
well.
